Basically, it comes down to ourselves. What have you learnt in relation to belonging? Have you learnt morals which have enriched your understanding of the world and thus, your belief systems and live in general?
E.g. A study of belonging can teach students that we as human beings make prejudices against each other to gain superiority and belong to groups. A student can therefore infer that a study of belonging can make them think twice about choosing to discriminate against someone for their own ends. it can therefore enrich their lives as it redefines their moral coding which changes their perspectives and attitudes to behaving.
If you are passionate enough about you thesis like I am you will understand the strong messages of belonging.
