To place a satellite of mass 10 000 kg in orbit around the Earth, 5.73 x 10^11 J of work is done. Calculate how far from the Eath's surface the satellite is placed in its oribtal path

Use W=Fs

To find F, use F = ma
F = 10000*9.8
= 98000 N

s = W/F
= 5.73*10^11/98000
= 5846938 m
= 5847 km
