HELP!!!! I'm doing a Studies of religion assignment on Judaism where i have to Assess the role and response to both poverty AND gambling!!!!!!! If you know of any organisations OR any information it would help!!

we were doign something in religion today about judaism and poverty - um begins with T...
the Tzedakah which outlines the jewish concept of charity - my notes on it say

"Tzedkah is the hebrew word for the acts that jewish people call 'charity'. In judaism tzedhak means righteousness, justice or fairness. FOr ex. giving to the poor is not looked as as an act of genorostiy, it is simply an act of justice and rightouness, the performance of a duty"

not sure about gambling though

Poverty:
Jewish response. The Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA) is the central charitable fundraising organisation for the NSW and ACT Jewish communities. Today there are 18 constitute organisations including welfare, family, aged and communal services. The JCA raises several million dollars a year to be distributed among these members to enable them to provide services to the community.

lol yeh maybe i am getting a little bit too harsh on some people

but most of the times they are purely asking us to do their homework...research is part of the work!
if they can't research by themselves now, they are going to be stuffed later on

i'll be more than happy to answer questions, like questions from past papers and textbooks....
research questions are their own homework....we just point them in the right direction which 90% of the time is google, 9% can be found in the database of notes on boredofstudies and 1% with their weird ISP questions which requires some thinking

My beef is that they join up and post a question that doesnt need anyone to answer for them as it either:
1. has been already posted here...do a search guys!!
2. can be either googled or just looked up in a text book as it is a "basic" of the course

These ppl then disappear never to be seen again...makes me feel kinda used!!

lol. You're from my school! or you sound like it.

Examine the current role and response of TWO religious traditions in TWO of the following issues:
*Gambling
*Unemployment
*Poverty

Whoever you are... You have had plenty of time to do this, we received it weeks ago! The due date is June 3rd. Why did you leave it to the last minute, you'll only stress yourself. :mad1:
