100 UAI???

I would have to say no, looking at the ranks and marks.

What does it take to get 100 though?
VERY good rankings and VERY good (band 6) marks, at a minimum?

Otherwise you'll fall into the 98-99 cluster.

I don't know, I would be very confident if I thought I was a 100 student and even more confident if I thought it was possible.

(im not bagging you out about being confident, but i have to say 100 is just "impossible" for most students -- unless they are extremely gifted/talented)

No.

Unless you're at a (say) top 10 or better school, rankin' of lower than 2 or 3 make life very very difficult if you're aimin' for 100. Even if ranked in the top 10, it would be difficult.

most 100 uai people already know what they will get so they never ask for a prediction

quarkfire - The scaling system is designed to encourage students to take courses that are appropriate to their level, that they enjoy, and that they do well in. The easiest way to maximise your UAI is by doing just that.

Most students who have attained 100 in the past have taken a number of extension courses. However, this does not mean that you need to take extension courses to attain 100. It simply means that the type of student who would attain 100 is the type that would take extension courses. There was one student last year who attained 100 with no extension courses.

I was thinking the same thing...

The same goes for 99.x students, I mean really...
"Do you think I will get 97+ with 1st rankings, extension 1-2's, band 6's and so on..."

I think it's more of an insecurity, at least in some cases, (Like my own.) whereby even if you're getting great marks/ranks in generally well scaled subjects, you still worry about doing badly, and not being able to achieve specified targets, and as such, need reassurance through these means. It's very annoying (And it must get annoying for those constantly giving the predictions), but it's virtually inescapable.

Sorry to get 'over-serious' there, but it felt necessary. :p

Id aim for these marks for a reasonable chance at damn close

maths ext 2 95+
maths ext 1 97+
Eng ext- 47/50+
Eng- 92+
Chemistry 95+
Phys 95+

you should be damn damn close if you achieve HSC marks close to that I reckon
