Hip hop is not dead. The genre is evolving which is what you expect from all music. Real hip hop is dead I agree, you can thank ppl such as the overrated pac and biggie who commercialised their shit songs such as 'hit em up', which just told us the whole way through the song that biggie was a fat fuck, which we didnt need to be told, and introduced it to the teenybopper faggot cunts who valued beats over lyrics. Thankfully Nas is bringing his new album out which is now due to be released in november which should hopefully be the hip hop album of the 21st century, hopefully. We have shit like rhianna and ne-yo having number 1 albums, now what the fuk is that shit, ill throw that bitch in the ocean and make her call for a fkn S.O.S. Listen to Nas who is a true hip hop artist who actually had a message in his lyrics about life, real stuff that people want to know, instead of talking about fucking bitches, drugs, drivebys and money, hear the same shit in every song.

since he started droppin on dre beats hip hop got some cred.
and when he started dissin 50 he got all the cred he needs for the rest of his life!

Wow. People are very oppinionated on this subject. I dont see how its dead and i just think that people dont know what to look for. I bought the new Gnarls Barkley and everything i found said that they were Hip-hop. They're a fuckin Pop band. Metals dead now that Dimebag Darrel is dead........except for the millions of bands who are keeping it alive.
