i'm finding it hard to find historical debates on the night of the long knives all im finding is just full on content on what happened and all i need some historical debate on it anyone have an idea? links to sites or knowledge of historians and the debate or whatever would be great thxs

A pop to your school/local library should get you some books written by historians in general about Nazi Germany. They'll probabaly focus on the Night of the Long Knives in certain chapters.

You can have a look at:
- Alan Bullock
- Richard Evans
- Joachim Fest
- Ian Kershaw
- John Toland

The debates surrounding the topic tend to focus on the casualty rate, the actual success of the purges and the motives behind them.
