How and when do you find out you're first in the state? (1 Viewer)

No arrogance involved! I know I would never get a First in the State ranking. I'm just intrigued to know when these geniuses find out and what exactly happens. Anyone know???

Board of Studies will contact you by phone or mobile.
How do I know this? Last year, a girl in my school came first in 2 subjects.
But I don't know when someone finds out they came 1st for a subject.
I'm just guessing. Don't guarantee I'm correct. I assume it's the same for every year.

I think there was a thread about this not long ago. Basically the people who actually get first in the state are rang up a couple of days before hand and invited to an award ceremony which is held just before results are released. For other state ranks they find out midday of the day marks are out when the state rankings list is released.
