i think if you delete all your classes, you can re-add them.

remove the classes or delete them. then readd them. do not press 'auto timetable', click on 'add classes' then choose the classes you want manually. if you want to see how the timetable is going, click 'view timetable' and it'll give you an outline of your timetable as it is with the classes you've chosen.

Yes, in fact it's the only way. Just go to myunsw and follow the instructions (assuming you've already accepted your offer).

I used auto timetable then changed what I didn't like. Got everything into 4 days except one lecture on Friday.

huh? do you mean classes immediately after one another? Lectures/tutes generally start 5 minutes late and finish 5 minutes early to allow for movement between classes.

I was thinking of waiting until the advisory day to make the decision on what subjects I should do because I have no bloody idea what I'm meant to do. If I do this does it mean I'm doomed to a crap timetable because everyone else has taken the good timeslots?

Calm down.

What do you mean by lectures "all together"? If you mean they're all after one-another, that's not a problem. If they're actually clashing, then that's a problem.

Tutorials usually start in week 2. That means you'll get all the information you need in your lectures in week 1.
