guys i have an english paper soon in which im required to write an imaginative to an unseen stimuli (i havent done one since y7)
ive like never walked into an exam without being somewhat certain on what im gonna write about so this is kind of overwhelming

anyways..if anyone has any tips or something which could possibly help, even in the slightest it'd be super appreciated

Come up with some ideas and certain concepts that u can adapt to different stimuli. And then do practice under timed conditions

The biggest hsc imaginative hack is to have a central motif that runs through the entire piece, such as a metaphor, allusion, or image that you keep referring back to. This can range from cultural symbolism like a Mexican day of the dead festival, to a metaphor of the grim reaper, to maybe the protagonist’s childhood memory. If you have a motif like this it shows that you can write a cohesive story, and also gives you some guidance when you can’t think of what to write.

That kind of leaves it to luck though. I believe that its better practice coming up with ideas on the spot. Say I make up 5 good ideas on the form of a story layout. It probably won't happen but what if you get a random stimulus that doesn't have anything to do with any of them?
ik that's why I said to draft like very broad, adaptable ideas so that ur not going in there clueless and also practice doing imaginative on the spot
