I really dont see "how" they can possibly catch someone who plagerised...

Say it was for english and somone emeorised somone elses essay and wrote it and this essay are not on Boredofsudies etc, then isnt it impossible to catch someone?

i really dont see the posibility...

sif you can remember a whole plagiarised essay lol

idk . i think so? i guess the extent to which you plagiarised determines how harshly you should be penalised

This is the reason AMOW was introduced. Try going to that website.

Anyway, you'll probably get a poor mark if you just whack down a memorised essay without shaping it to the question, so it won't matter if you plagiarise or not.

And in terms of major works such as the PIP?

I was talking to my teacher about this in Society. She said that if they find a phrase or something thats familiar or iffy, if doesn't fit the personal voice and tone of the rest of the piece, they jump onto the computers in the marking center and google it.

Its more for things like assignments rather than exams.

I think for assessments they have programs that detect plagerism, but more often then not i think you would get caught because your teacher would recognise that the writing style is different to what you would usually do.

Yeah, they get zero. My Ext English teacher marked an exam for the creative section where they had basically copied a Rhol Dahl story. The first marker didn't pick it up, but he did. I think they zero as a total for the subject, not just as an external mark.
