you are given a timetable during O-week but can change your tutes and lectures online (very limited) or in person. go to www.timetable.usyd.edu.au to search for timetables

tutorials are usually held one week after lectures testing content from lectures. They are held on different days, depending on the subject. As I said, go to that link to see when yours are held. As I also said you can usually change the times of yours in person.

you'll be doing political economy, I take it. I'll use it as an example:
1) Frank Stilwell (the lecturer) is amazing!!!
2) Lectures will be on Tues and Thurs, from memory. They are held at 12 and 3 on each of those days (for example). You can go to either one of those, as the content is repeated.
3) Tutorials cover content from the previous week. (e.g. a Thursday Week 3 tutorial will cover the week 2 lectures)

In theory, if you missed the 12pm lecture, could you sneak in and catch up at the repeat at 3pm?
