Because im one of those horrible people...
i thrive on competition.. on the idea of winning....

UNTIL RECENTLY..
you'd think nowadays i'd be more inclined to want-to-win, but yet im not...
lack of motivation really :(
so i go onto those lameo quote sites and attempt to be inspired...
doesnt work.

:(
i just work because if i dont...
i'll regret it when im a fat old hag living in a caravan.
'ohh kids.. what i could've been..'

just marry a rich guy! :p problem solved

ummmm i come on bos and read about how nerdy everyone else has been which makes me feel guilty and then i work. or talk to people that have got high 90s uais and worked their asses off. if all else fails, try not to think about it, just force yourself to work without any particular reason :)

I look at photos of homeless people.

Then I say to myself "If I don't study for another hour a night, I'll be like that."

Not really. I just think of what I want my eulogy to be like. Did I accomplish something and stand above the pack?

Just remember, at no stage during your HSC year should you be willing to look down a face of cliff and jump.

Just remember, after your HSC year, if you do fail your expectations, you are entitled to look down the face of a cliff and have a family member/laughing peer push you.

The best way is to work towards a goal

Lets say you want to get a certain UAI for a course, work towards that, or an apprenticeship or TAFE, just work towards the goal, thats the way i found my motivation, mind you this happened maybe in july/august when i realised the hsc was close

You won't nichhhole. From what I've gathered from reading your posts, you are intelligent.
If however, you need a "helping hand", I will surely be laughing and will give you that encouraging shove everybody needs once in a while. ;)

Repeating can be the worst thing possible. There are other ways and better methods, plus the majority of people that repeat do worse then they did before. Plus when you repeat whatever mark you get that year is your HSC mark even if last years was higher.

You stay motivated by getting in there and doing. You realise that it has to be done and you might as well put your best foot forward and strive for your best because when you achieve it you can't match that feeling.

omg me too!!!

i got told this for motivation by an o6er friend:
"every single moment of every single day you waste on pointless shit.. is just affecting your study time which ultimately affects your end result.. meaning your UAI!"

that got me up. kinda.
and i also gave him permission to whoop my ass if i don't get my 93 and get into international studies.
and i do NOT want that to happen.
so i WILL work.
well that's what i say now anyway.
^^
