Hey everyone,
I'm doing a bit of extra study for legal studies and I came across this question:
"The court hierarchy provides efficiency in the way resources of the court are used" - Discuss

I really don't understand the question
What are the resources of the court??

Any help is appreciated :)

Re: How does court hierarchy provide efficiency in how resources of the court are use

The main resource of any and everything is time and money. If you've ever been down to a local court house on a Monday, you'll see its totally packed full of cases, mostly from the weekend drink drivers or so. The court hierarchy 'filters' which cases are handled by who. That way, the court system doesn't get clogged by 1000 drink drivers while waiting for the trial of a serial killer to be heard.

Courts are costly enough as is so the court hierarchy ensures that those supreme court judges aren't lounging around dealing with petty crimes while murder case trials are still waiting in line to be heard.
