My teacher was going on about it all lesson and I asked what it meant and he gave me some enigmatic answer that didn't help my cause. When writing drama essays about a certain play, you're meant to comment on "how is theatre created?". What I REALLY don't understand is, what is 'theatre'.
I know there is some sort of bigger and deeper meaning than , "a place with seats and curtains", but what are the main conventions of theatre? The way it's being said, I get the vibe that a message is meant to go across the audience through an entertaining means... but help me please? Thanking you in advance.
