Btw 80 atar is not end all be all. Just try to enjoy your exams.

Keep in mind you can get an atar lower than what is listed online and still get into the course. Atar is just about demand and supply. You can also transfer courses after a semester using your sem 1 marks. A uni WAM of about 65 is all you need for an 80 atar course. This applies to Usyd btw.

I think you will probs get over 80 though because atar compass tends to underestimate. I would suggest to focus on english though as that could bring you down. I had pretty similar marks to you and I got a little over 80.

Honestly, your marks so far are fine but do not slack off. You have like one month left so just work your hardest. I don't mean to be that guy but you are wasting your energy stressing about wether your marks will be good enough. Just work hard and you will be fine.

To improve your english marks, all you need to do is have a generic essay for each module that you can manipulate in the exam.
Also, DO NOT skimp on the short answer practice. They are your bread and butter. Learn how to get full marks every time.
You must also know your texts WELL. Look at video essays of nuanced ideas about it, read forums about it, pick it apart until you have thought of every theme there could possibly be.

16-18 is not bad at all. Honestly it just takes practice. Know your techniques and how to structure your answers and eventually you will be getting full marks. Also focus on doing timed practice. When you get into the hsc, the biggest way people lose marks is just running out of time.

I already have all my essays ready and memorised. just need to keep improving my adapting skills and applying to different questions

WAIT atar compass underestimates???? I thought it overestimates because when I put my estimated marks in it said 83 atar and I got scared becaue I thought atar compass overestimates for lower marks
