My teacher says you need at least 3 paragraphs in a crime essay and also only need 3 paragraphs in an option essay, but this begs the question: what differentiates a 15 mark essay from a 25 mark essay.
Like is it the level of detail that I need more in an option question? If so, what kinds of details are needed.

Or would you guys just recommend 4 paras for the options?

I had over 3 paragraphs in my options essays. For 25s, my teachers told us you should have 8 pages (from memory, maybe it was 6-8??) I wrote 8-10 for options, don't remember how many paragraphs I used.

I go to the University of Queensland (UQ). atar/selection rank requirement is still quite high (97.5), but they allow 5 adjustment points (the lowest unadjusted ATAR was a 92.5) I think there is also an entry scheme specifically for law (has around 20 places)

pls don't lose hope, aim to do your best, and explore every opportunity available. Remember, you can always start in another degree (arts) and transfer internally in your second year. So many people I've met have done that, it's easier to transfer internally, and they get to start at the uni they wanted instead of going to another one. I was going to do this if I didn't get into law in my first year.

Also, you don't have to go to a go8. A law degree is a law degree, and you'll be able to find experience and work having gone to another university.

Thank you! Yeah I think I will try for unsw through their early entry program, or if not I might transfer in the 2nd year like you said! Congrats though on getting into UQ!
i know a guy who did crim last year then transferred into law successfully this year!
he told me that if i wanna do law, don't pick crim "it's more statistical", and pick a course + electives that will get you a high WAM
