I was just wondering. Just so I can figure out if I'm actually smart enough to beat 'x' amount of people.
It's the top 10% of people in the state, so that mean there are like 6500 people who get over 90? I dunno, I never really figured out how uai calculation works. I was just hoping that when I get it, I'll be pleasantly surprised, lol.

Maybe just asking this question make me the type of person go wouldn't get over 90, lol.

Its 10% of the number of people who did the SC in 2006. So it will be more than 6500, coz a bunch of people dropped out

Really, tree fiddy?
Then I'm definitely screwed.

But I'm sure you have to be wrong. Because half of that alone would be taken up by James ruse...

Wouldnt one UAI points means more then 1% of the people who sit the HSC? I remember there is more then 1% people like 1.7 . . who gets about 99 UAI, thus 1 uai dosent mean 1% . . . also the fact that the lowest UAI is 30 . . would suggest that 1 uai does not equal to 1% of student . . . logical predition . . i am guessing :D

16.5% got over 90 in 2007
16.3% in 2006
15.9% in 2005
16.0% in 2004

I burnt my calculator so i can't figure out the numbers, sorry.

Above post is correct. more people get in the 90s then any other group of 10.

lowest UAI is 0.05 but noone who gets under 30 actually finds out theirs.

If you get a stack of people tying on say 99 (more than the allocated %) maybe that accounts for it? I don't know really. I wonder what they do there?

The UAI is reported as a number between 0.00 and 100

Approximately 14 364 people get over 90 in the state.
That is 16.5% of 87056 (according to midifile's and kevin2x's numbers.)

Isnt it 20 people to each .05 mark?
So 20 to say 98.00
20 to 98.05
20 to 98.10

and so on?
