As the title states, how many quotes should you memorise for HSC (depending on the modules and AOS)? I know this sounds silly, but this question never occurred to me until now, because with every exam from year 7-11 I just winged them by knowing the texts, concepts, characters really well, and always receive marks in the A range. However, I feel like this won't be a stable study method for year 12 because I realised I need for remember textual evidence that's adaptable to the question (yes, I don't memorise essays), apart from obviously knowing potential thesis statements.

So yes, could I have some insight?

I did 18-24 for AOS (6-7 per poem)
24 for Module A (18 well remembered)
same for Module B
18 for Module C (6 per text)

Best best is about 15-18 per module
minimum 9

You will want at least 3-4 quotes per paragraph

The amount of quotes I memorised for each module/AOS was in the 20s. It's quite easy if you keep those same quotes all the way up to the hsc (make good generic essays before trials)

Bump. What about when you are doing speeches (Mod B). Should you have say 10 quotes for 2 of the speeches that you know really well and then 6-7 for the other four?
