a lot of people are saying that the MX2 stuff helps a lot with the MX1 stuff.. is this true?.. does that mean the MX2 students will get higher makrs than the MX1 who dont do MX2?

in the end i suppose it comes down 2 how much work u do....however, i find 4unit helps heaps with 3unit, alot of the topics that are covered as "harder 3unit" in 4unit in paticular become alot easier

as 2 hu gets the higher marks, well i suppose that as a general rule 4unit people do better cause they are as a general rule, better students, however, at my skool im currently coming equal first in 3unit with a guy hu just does 3+2 unit so yeah, just depends on wat u want....

Personally I've found that MX2 helps a lot with MX1. It really extends you mathematically, from what you're doing in MX1, and i've found that I come across a lot of thigns which I now find easy but which I would have found reasonably challenging had I not done MX2. If you can take it I reckon it's a big help.

It helps a shit load. Think polynomials, graphing, integration, mechanics, not to mention the hrader 3u stuff that just makes 3u work look like child's play.

it helps, but doesn;t help if u arn't good at 4u which only takes time away from ur 3u studies...

at my school 4u ppl came 1st and 2nd and 3u ppl came 3rd and 4th, so yeh.. 3u ppl can still do well
