Is this calculator still accurate for 2024 HSC students? Also is this calculator only meant to be for trial marks, or overall marks can be inputted as well (from sem2 reports)?
it’s only completely accurate for 2022, but it gives a rough estimation for us now too. it would be more accurate with trial marks bc that imitates the hsc.

its accuracy hasn’t changed, the accuracy will be close to perfect if you input marks that have a similar difficulty to the 2022 hsc, and then they’ll become worse if you input marks from easier papers, or under/over perform in the final hsc exam, or if your in school ranking for your subjects was too good/bad (none of these things are possible to account for since they’re individual factors).

I wouldn’t recommend inputting overall marks since those likely aren’t close in difficulty to the 2022 hsc, so you’ll end up with a pretty inaccurate result. For the most accurate result, if you do the 2022 hsc past papers for your subjects while studying for exams then enter the marks you get in them into the calculator

I was wondering if you can add industrial technology but after looking at the raw marks database I doubt that you could, but if you can that would be great!

if not what subject do you reckon that's on the spreadsheet is the closest scaling and alignment wise to get a reasonably accurate estimate.

Yeah unfortunately I can’t because of the lack of data, and it’s hard to say what subjects will be similar without much data unfortunately

i think the physics one is broken, its telling me a raw mark of 82 in bio or a raw mark of 90 in business is higher than a raw mark of 90 in physics :oops::oops::oops::oops::oops: can u pls fix it 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Aint no way bio is scaled better than physics. You barely require any thinking for bio that it's similar to a humanities subject 💀
