how to get a band 6 in Chemistry (1 Viewer)

can past students who received a band 6 for chemistry give me some tips, how much study did you put in? what assessment marks did you get? etc

any help would be appreciated :)

I got 89 for my external :p

Average marks around 60-70% during the HSC year. Failed preliminary ;)

Just know the dot point syllabus off by heart + all those experiments especially the common ones (you can find this out just by looking at past HSC papers and trials). And know some unexpected ones like last year there was a question on the Ozone layer with relation to Antarctica which may have put some people off.

im trying to keep my average 80-90% i want a band 6 or band 5 lol...

I managed to get a mid band 5 for my final HSC results. My assessment mark was about 85. I simply followed the syllabus points, wrote down notes for each point, made sure I understood everything rather than rote learning so you can elaborate on your answers in exams.

know the syllabus back to front,
know how to give a band 6 answers to everysingle one of them...

know how to write everysingle equations outlined in the syllabi
pray to what ever religion you aspire day and night

i did the first 3 and it only yielded me 90

only? haha okay i will follow those rules :) wish me luck guys...ill try and maintain my assessment at 90+
