I don't know the answer to that question.... because with felicity, everytime I close my eyes and most of the time when I'm awake I still think of her, no amount of changing around my room, drinking or change in my life affects how much I miss her. I think for everyone it is different and I've just conceded the fact that it might be a hell of a long time before I get over her, but I always wonder whether I want to get over her, whether I just want to forget about it all.... because I cherished every moment I spent with her, so I think in the end, she'll still occupy a part of myself but its just a matter of growing and adjusting to a life without her and accepting the future experiences that will come upon me.

yea it is painful to get over someone... if it helps... correct me if im wrong ><.... would thinking they can be happier with making new happy memories be any comfort?

realising that you are better off, they are worse off, and that they are a skanky hoe = good way.

Get over someone...hmm...well first of all there is one thing that you absolutely must do...and that is stop seeing her...avoid her for a while...your feelings will dampen and you'll begin to notice other people's good points and begin to like them...sooner or later, you'll forget about this old special someone and go for someone new...that's how it works...sad but true...

Have as little to do with them as possible - avoid them
Have as much fun as possible with other people
Keep yourself occupied and surrounded by all the other people who love you

Sometimes you have to get over someone you like, as just because you like someone alot doesnt mean its reciprocated, or that theyre right for you, at least thats the way I see it
Yeh but you have to make it reciprocal by stalking them. By learning their every move by and searching through their rubbish bins and stuff then usually I've found girls will just give in (or get an AVO) and you can be happy again.

I'm afraid to ask.

But hey, Caboodles, what you need to do is let yourself go in whatever form of expression that you can possibly think of. Music isn't all that helpful when you're alone and feeling down.. so go watch a movie with friends, go see a mind-numbingly boring art exhibition, go to the beach, but whatever you do, just stop thinking about 'it'. It's definately hard... and according to psychology, you might be gaining a few pounds lol, so go for a looonng walk.

how many pounds do u gain?
i sometimes like to go for the jealousy factor.
if they have a single older attractive brother, crack onto him. if there is any parties on and you know he is going to be there, go, get dressed up looking your best, go with all your friends and show him how much fun you can have without him. and crack onto the hottest male there. or if you have the money, hire an attractive male escort for the night and take him, sex optional.
stalking could be fun.
and if he has a car, every single time you see a car the same make and model as his, key it. i once read that some lady in italy keyed over 50 red alfa romeos coz every time she saw one it made her think of her ex.

ps. ive never done any of these therefore i cannot give you the satifaction gaurenteed offer by me.

Even better if they have an identicle twin sister, as I have seen done.

that generally work beta if ur trying 2 get sum1 back, not trying 2 get over them...

my advice 4 getting over sum1 is to go out, get drunk, hook up with sum1 other than the person ur thying 2 get over and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if u can prove 2 urself that u can have fun and enjoy life without the person u r trying 2 get over, it makes it 1 hell of alot easier...

it'll never actually b easy, but u can make it easier than it would normally b...

Otherway around, goes by the name of Cunningham. Actually technically he was rejected by both, so he did it both ways.

As other people have suggested, GET OUT of the home. Get off your arse and go play sport, or watch your friends play sport, or just go watch a movie! Try not to get bored and when you think of them, think about the great person they're missing out on.

Hatred isn't productive. Everyone situation is different, but if you had a friendship as well as a relationship there is no reason the firendship cannot continue. You shouldn't feel pressured to move on just because you or someone else thinks you should. I guess it also depends who initiated the breakup. My ex is still my best friend and whilst it's not always easy, we get on alright. If friendship is really not an option then try to think what you did and who you were before the relationship. The pain does ease, it took many months for me, but you're not plummetting into a hole, you're travelling trough a tunnel and eventually you will get out of it.

-keep urself busy
-dont really talk to them for a while- u need space and time to get over it although it will take a while
- try not to think about it and also try not to think about things that happened between the two of you and wonder why things were good back then..
cuz chances are- change is inevitable
- you only hurt urself more thinking about the times or places and things that u's did- so try to avoid that..

break ups suck! especially without good reason

u may need closure or something but its best to seek it after a while where the emotions arent still too attached. and u'll have a better perspective on things..

getting another guy is always an option - but ur not dealing with the problem or breakup really- it just keeps u occupied and ur mind off the other guy but. in the end its also not very good.

only tym can tell..

thats how i felt about my ex. i didnt want to get over him. id listen to the love songs and cry.. feeling pain to do with him was better than feeling nothing to do with him.. eventually enough is enough. if you stop seeing, contacting them all together you do move on. well i did. after a few months of no contact i started getting crushes on new people and was the best feeling. now im over him 100% and its great... my newest semi ex (boy im on a break with as of yesterday) is gonna be so hard to move on from. we were great mates before we went out, so we both wanna stay friends now. while ur seeing someone, still laughing and haivng fun with them its almost impossible to forget them.
