personal opinion, and saying one is better than the other would create arguments. Typing has the advantage that you can edit easily and make things very neat, you can easily include diagrams, and do color coding and similar stuff. Writing has the advantage that some people find it easier to learn from writing out things. However it can't be edited as easily, will become a huge pile and you can lose papers very easily. And if i were you, i would make HSC notes rather than prelim notes. Just use someone else's notes for prelim and start making detailed notes for the HSC course.
I'll add to this that you're more flexible in having a digital copy of your notes as you can access it on more places your phone, laptop, etc. if you don't have a hard-copy.
Lets say that you were at school and you forgot to bring your umbrella. When the bell goes off for home time and you have to get home because a tutor comes to your house, and you've got your hand-written notes in your bag, they're gone, whereas if you had your printed notes in there, you could always print another copy.
I feel as if the benefits of typing notes trumps hand-writing notes any day, however this may vary depending on other subjects, because I've never done CAFS, visual arts, etc.
If you're acing all your subjects and can get help from a tutor then by all means you could give it a go
