a spaceship travels to another planet, when it reaches there, the onboard clock showed a time of 10 years.spaceship travelled at 0.8c. what would the similar clock show on earth?

-3.6
--6
-10
-16.7

the answer is B 6 years, how is this possible? the clock on the spaceship should have slowed down and therefore time on the clock on earth should be slower.the journey should seem longer on earth which must be 16.7 years.

steven 12, u said that the clock on the spaceship should have slowed down, but then thats means that the spaceship clock is slower than the earth clock, not the other way round, so the answer is B
