from what I can tell (a couple of friends have rang) it's well worth the 25 cents if you have a genuine issue!

Can you ring the advice line out of specified hours? I.e. now? Would there still be people there to help you at the moment (i.e for English)?

right now? no. i tried.

there's a recorded voice and its a guy telling you the open hours. try after 4pm.


edit - if you call really close to the exam there's a 100% chance they'll put you on a callback list. keep that in mind. you gotta hang around next to the phone (let alone in the house) for up to an hour. but it's worth it if you've got a decent question. i found they're very helpful and they don't make you freak out.

Monday - Friday 4 pm - 10 pm
Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday 10am - 10pm
