As a student of the school, I must say there are emotionally heavy negatives, but economical positives to this.
The school will become a fully selective day school, the remaining boarders are given the choice to remain at HAHS, or opt out and relocate to the Hawkesbury school.

Anything else?

on the plus side, they may change the uniform. Hopefully the name they give to the Glenfield school would be good (why didn't they make it like Hurlstone - Hawkesbury Campus, Hurlstone - Glenfield Campus??)

The sports uniform has been changed recently. A survey has been going around regarding changing the normal uniform, so there is a chance that it'll be revised before the school moves.
