I think it is n=1, but the visible spectrum is from the above energy levels to n=2.

The Ground state of Hydrogen is n = 1, but Xayman is correct, the visible sprectrum starts at n = 2

yeh but we only do visable spectrum in relation to balmer and bohr
so never use n=1 in an hsc physics quanta to quarks, i don't think u will ever need to

Well.. the Lyman series go to n=1.. aren't they visible emissions?

but technically n=1 IS the ground state, being the lowest level in the hydrogen atom. ( Barring degeneracy)
