In the HSC booklets , for my paper 1 for english advance.

In the little column that states "examination" Im mean to write "Paper 1", but I accidently didnt, instead I put my name. Silly of me.

Is that okay?

I don't want to scare u but I think it's not fine - markers aren't suppose to know who's work their marking, so if u put ur name anywhere on the paper i think they can't mark that booklet, that's what i'm guessing. Just don't look back, keep ur momentum and study for ur upcoming exams, good luck!

If you wrote your name on the paper it will have been blanked out by the time it reaches any marker.

I assume the first marker could cover the name and then get another marker to mark it as they would have no knowledge of who it is, but I dunno.

Before any marker sees the paper it passes through your supervisors and the clerical staff at the centre - one of them will block it out so that it can't be seen.

Markers won't see a name and if by some chance a name is there it will be given to the SM who will take it back to clerical so they can do their bit and block it out - usually using a black marker pen or liquid paper or something - even crossing it out so that it isn't visible.

No problem - your paper will be with the rest of your cohort's and if it is put in the wrong section the markers will pick it up and get it to the right section for you.

What if for paper 2 you didn't write the name of the text you were doing (i.e. Julius Caesar) but you already wrote that you did q10??
Like, you wrote "Conflicting perspectives - Caesar" but not in the examination box, rather you wrote it outside of the box?

I think by reading your contents of the essay they will be able to tell which paper it is, so should be fine

Just wondering...why can't the markers know your name? Is it because of possible bias or something?? Just curious.
In my opinion though, it should be fine. I seriously doubt they would discard you paper completely and just refuse to mark it because you wrote your name...that would be simply ridiculous.

Basically, yup it's to prevent biased marking.
