Actually, if you fail a subject, it stays on your academic transcript forever, regardless of what course you change to, or even what uni you change to

and if you apply to transfer with UAC, your 1st year uni results do count, regardless of how much you have attended. they take into account if you have completed 0.5 years of full time study

really??? they can count 0.5 yrs??? coz i talked to the uac advisor at usyd and he sed that for the course im transferring into they dont take into account ne tertiary grades if u complete less than 48 cp when applying for a transfer...now im confused...

yeh i read some stuff about transferring and it said that if you have failed a subject it's very difficult to transfer

well look at it this way
if you were the lecturer in charge of the course and it's your responsibility to say if someone can come into the course or not, you see someone who failed a subject requesting to transfer into your course, you would say to yourself
hmmm do i want this student?

Did that person mention whether it was an internal transfer, or a transfer thru UAC?

Even though i hate commerce. I would say commerce is better off than science (workload wise)

well, because if you apply to UAC, you have to give details on previous Bachelor studies as well as your HSC details...UAC then retrieves your academic record from your previous university/course
