I know this gets asked a lot, but are Medentry percentiles an indication of UMAT's? (1 Viewer)

So yeah, over the past 5 months I've been doing lots of practice drills and I just finished my 4th practice exam today. Latest result was 83/143 which ended up being 50th percentile, highest in the past has been 54th and lowest 40th. Things aren't looking good. In my defense though, my time management was horrible and I ended up guessing 25+ questions, many of which were extremely easy.

I know people usually say stuff like "you can't predict the future"... but I think you can model it based on past events. Being a GWS resident, I think I'll need something like 88 percentile (bare minimum) but most likely 90 to get into UWS. Words can't explain how crappy I'm feeling. All this hard work and I'm still a failure.

So people who've sat UMAT in the past, how did your Medentry results compare to your UMAT ones?

hey emilios,

it's good that you're doing a lot of umat practice (people are still working on their practice drills).

for the medentry practice tests, i don't think they are 100% reflective of your performance on the UMAT day because:

1) the tests are online (how hard is it to do section 1 and 3 questions online!!)

2) the cohort in medentry is not reflective of the 10,000+ students sitting UMAT

3) the medentry questions are not 100% similar to those in the UMAT

you still have plenty of time to improve! dont stress :) good luck!

I got 70-90's for Medentry towards the end more around 80's and in the end got around 93 for actual UMAT I think from memory.

If your time management is the issue that will be a problem in the actual UMAT more than getting the questions wrong. Regardless, I think your chances aren't the best at this stage but give it a shot and keep practicing. Are you reviewing why you're getting questions wrong?
