So like....
I messed up my AT2 for bio for which I got 67.5% and it was for an in class test worth 20% of my internal make but it was only on punnet squares and pedigrees. I had got 82.5% on my first y12 assessment which put me at rank 4, but now I am below the average for the second assessment. And I find it super annoying how the people that got really high marks in this assessment weren't very academically inclined so now I'm FUMING because I put in so much work. Tbh, I have only ever seen pedigrees as a single multiple choice question or a very small mark value short answer so wtf, ppl are going to get false hope. I know that I can carry on exams (as those are my strengths) but I am scared that the people now ranked above me will flop the HSC external exam which will screw me over since I am aiming at getting a band 6 in bio but these lazy mfs will just get bad external exam marks and it will diminish my chances of a 'good' ATAR (as in 'good' enough to get a med interview).

So I guess....
What would happen if I was to get a high 90s exam mark but the people above me got 60-70, would I then be cooked as I would then have an average less than a band 6? Would NESA do anything? Ffs, IMO I think ranking is lowkey unfair and the fact that any numerical marks come 100% from the bio external exam.

Rant... OVER.
Ugggggh.

Also, FYI, I am not trying to degrade my classmates, I just know that they legitimately don't put any efforts towards their studies, which is why I know that their externals will most likely yield less than stellar marks or they would be very lucky if the exam was easy.

it's possible to be considered an outlier if that indeed does happen. Note as well that if the students in your class are not 'academically inclined', then there is a fair shot to bring back your rank as this is only one of 4 assessments in this course.

I'm praying I can clutch in the next 2 assessments.
