I think i just ran a red... (1 Viewer)

I live in melb.
I was turning right, and the thing sorta turned red. I can't tell if i was officially into the intersection or not- I was goin like 20 under the limit tho (does this matter?).

Theres cameras at this intersection... but i dont THINK they went off.

What happens to me if I get caught? I've been on my P's for like 3 months.

I vaguely remember from the L's test or something that red light camera's will only go off if you enter the interesection more than 0.3 seconds after red. Also there would've been a really bright flash.

the flash is very obvious, it lights the place up like day and you will jump in your seat when it happens. Ive been flashed 4 times now and never received a fine[3 from the same camera,i guess its faulty] but yeah as long as your tires cross the line before it goes red you are ok, even if you do get flashed.

if u were already in the intersection then it turned red youd be sweet coz the detector is before the line

yeah the flash is really obvious so if you didn't notice anything you're fine. or blind. whichever.

so if you ENTER the intersection past the line like mid-way thru yellow and it turns red sometime while youre in the middle of the intersection...ur ok?

also, if u do get caught by the camera, how long do they take to send out ur notice in the mail?

do urself a favour and get one of those gps things. i always know which red lights i shouldnt try run cause it gives me a warning beforehand
