hey i totally get back pains too, and neck pains for that matter. I also find that excessive writing leads to RSI in the wrist, my also feel a bit o'tension in my shoulder.

I suggest after every half hour or so, lean back in your seat, give your eyes an excercise, have a good ol' stretch and take a few deep breaths.
