If u want an actual decent browser go for mozilla firebird. Its not the official mozilla atm but soon will be apparently... completely smooth..been running it for about a year..yet to crash
If u want to stick with IE get this program called Hijackthis (i shit u not thats what its called) and run it...its supposed to clean up all the crap that happens to IE...may just fix ur problem...did for me when i was using it a while back....have fun

ive got the exact same problem as newbie and i ask this question on this board a while back maybe some of u remembered, i went back to IE5 and still same problem, cleaned all the spyware shits and still bloody same, it lags on all bbs not just this one
