mine are:

IP...youthful ambitious arrogance and the ridiculous extremes it can lead to.

GP...dreams as a substitute for reality and the inevitable "waking up".

ok here goes (they sound really, not smart in comparison to the ones posted so far)

IP:... um well i live in the 'shire' and it shits me they way ppl refer to it as the shire or 'gods country' so i shatter their dreams and make fun of ppl who think they are better than other people.

GP:.. showing diff perspectives of HSC, through students, teachers, parents and media.

they both sound so unsmart lol thats not even a word. see im UNSMART

Thanks. Yeah, it was half devised half self written. I performed it again last night (i did my hsc in 2004) and it was like revisiting an old relative! Lol. I'm against teenage angst, pregnant mothers, bogan type monologues. I'd never heard of anything like I was doing...closest thing would be Hilary Swank's performance in 'Boys Don't Cry' because of the similar subject.

i respect people who choose to do a serious or dark topic for their IP, especially if it chronicles their personal experience.

however, i think comedy hits harder. my piece is black comedy, and explores the themes more thoroughly than any serious piece. it is about ambition, and the script is witty and wonderful. the character is an alter ego of mine...
