memorise. if it's a short quote, like just one sentence, just say it over and over again, until you can write it out without looking at it. if it's a long quote, then do the same thing but think up ways to remember it, like one word in each sentence to jog your memory.

or, you can always do the "memorise entire essay" thing, which a lot of people do (myself included :p)... but that doesn't work for everyone, especially if you can't manipulate your essay to answer the question :p the best way is probably to jot a few points down and work from there, because i know some people who tend to freak out if they ddin't write their essay exactly the way they memorised it

just keep sayn them over and over again, or write them down and put them up on the wall somewhere where ull c them all the time. neway, it shouldnt be 2 hard - u really should only have relatively short quotes for an in-class exam - they're not expecting whole slabs, in fact, they dont want large quotes coz then it looks like u can't think 4 urself - a short quote shows that u have the ability 2 go through and pick out the important bits that directly support ur thesis. rmember, u can easily cut down a long quote by putting elipses (yes, i know i cant spell!) between the words u want: like "cut down...long quote...elipses" etc.

i would record it on my md (or whatever audio player you have) and just play it over and over every night.
it worked quite well, esp with my essays.

thanx heaps..

i found that by remembering my whole essay was pretty easy..

a 1500 word essay.. and i read it over about 50 times i reckon.. and i basically remembered it word for word in the exam..

only problem is i wrote too slow so i had to change the last part.. which was not good :(
