Prove by induction that the sum of the angles of a polygon with n sides is n-2 straight angles.

I don't know how to express this into an equation.

Use the equation:

Sn = 180(n-2)

Step1: For n=3

LHS = S 3 = 180degrees

RHS = 180(3-2) = 180degrees

Step2: Asuume true for n=k

Sk = 180(k-2) (1)

Step3: Prove true for n=k+1
Prove: S k+1=180(k-1)

and then continue

Thanks enigma. Btw, the reason why you started with n = 3 was so that they don't become 0?
