Hi

does Macquarie University offer units of study which relate specifically to IR? I know theres a HRM major/degree available, but does it provide a thorough analysis of a macro system including unions, the state ext.. not just the with the organisatin. Im looking for something similar to usyd's major in IR/HRM which im currently enrolled in... Majors - The University of Sydney

Firstly HRM is not really industrial relations (although it is a component, HR professionals are almost never involved in the nitty gritty aspects of it).

There is an industrial relations BUSLAW unit, but I havent taken it.

IR is really a legal field so Sydney University would probably be better as that plays better to its strengths rather than doing HRM which is essentially psychology based.
