Actually, more like INFS BIBLIOGRAPHY HELP.

Does anyone know if we have to do 'place of publication'? I can't find it for most of the articles so I don't think you have to?

as if keep stuff from last year. All my last sem stuff I deleted from computer, threw out into the trash.

Thanks for the answers, Brogan. :)

I'm going to keep rambling in this thread though, don't feel as if you have to answer it. I'm just trying to make this my personal rantspace. :)

Question!

Since they're only marking 5/6, I can just write shit for the 6th one and they won't penalise me? .................................

My printer fucked up for no apparent reason. So I had to go early to USyd to print it out. I swear, things only go wrong at the most inappropriate momments.

I don't know if this is too late.

But yes, as far as I'm aware you need a publication location. That can be found inside the front page usually with all the other crap about publication and authors asserting moral rights and what have you.

Anyway lat, I was considering applying for the facillitator thingy...but it seems like a lot of effort, just to do what I already do...but formally.
I guess one tutoring job is enough (though PASS is not exactly like tutoring...... you're "facilitating")

Apparantly you get $25.28 per hour (right now)

If Brogan became one, he'll be a funny and interesting one :):):)

I was thinking of applying but then I couldn't find referees.

Nice. Now just patiently wait for the results and have a cup of green tea.

Hey guys, dont do INFS2001 (doing it this sem) ... it's really boring and much worse than INFS1000

Is it more difficult? What is the pass/fail rate

I wouldn't say it's more difficult. I don't know the pass/failure rate but i've recently been told that the final exam is 'easy to pass but difficult to do well in'.

Here are my opinions on the subject:

Pros:
- No maths
- relatively easy to study for

Cons:
- There is no creativity involved (compared to INFS1000 where we at least did web building)
- The major assignment is worth 30% whichis to be done in groups of about 5. There are no peer evaluation forms to be submitted. Which means that one person who did nothing for the assignment (which happened to me) will ultimately receive the same mark.
- There is no discussion forums on blackboard
- Lecturers are painfully boring and attendance in lectures are minimal. Samantha is a high school presenter reading off slides. Jennie is all right.
- Tutorials are useless. They give us newspaper articles to read in class and we have a brief discussion which appear to have little relevance to what was covered in lectures.
- There are minimal practise questions on lecture material.
- Textbook is expensive and useless. The lecturer has even told us not to depend on it because it is outdated and not relevant. Answering questions in the textbook are pointless.
- Emails to lecturers were not responded on three occasions.
- No review on mid-semester quiz.
