inschool assessment mark and ranking sucks=suck UAI no matter what?
(Provided that the student is only studing in a normal public high school)

so if you generally did bad in your assessment tasks,no matter how well you did in your actual HSC paper itself it's just not gonna help much?

we got given a sheet explaining the marking system.... say your internal marks are all around 40-50, and in the exams u get all 80's, your internal assessment mark will be brought up... what they call 'moderated', and then an average is made between ur MODERATED internal mark, and the exam mark. it is never too late. get into the study now, and u can still make a come back. although a really high uai is gonna be pretty damn hard... if not impossible (i mean 90+) u can still get a fairly good one. my boyfriend was gettin bad marks all through the year when he did his hsc, then put in heaps of effort and got all 80's. goodluck.

youre assessment mark is aligned to what your rank is and its appropriate HSC mark, for example a class of 10 people do chemistry, if your rank is 5th, and the 5th highest HSC mark in the school/year for chemistry is 80, then your assessment mark gets 80 "moderated"

if you get the highest hsc mark, 95+, then your HSC mark appears as that, but if you aren't coming first in that subject, you won't get that as your assessment mark unfortunatley
