need some help with inspector hound
like stoppard uses paraody and all this shit
but what he trying to say?

that the upper class is fuked up without morales?
that crime fiction doesn't stand up as a genre coz you can fuk its conventiosn around and twist it hard as stoppards done?
that the theater is crap and that theater is merely a joke since we dont know who's watching who? - play within a play
that genres and conventions are predictable and hence pointless?

hes saying a couple of things,
1) he is ridiculing the middle class burgeouis values of cosy fiction and the middle class society presented in it.
2) he is also ridiculing the concepts that Crime Fiction such as the ability of cosy detectives to come to unlikely (yet correct) conclusions from minimal circumstantial evidence, and also mocks the idea that CF serves to reassure the responder by punishing the criminal and restoring order, when it leaves the criminal unpunished. You could probably also say that the mocking of authority of the misunderstanding hound, who later turns out to be the criminal is a statement.

this is all very rough and im very tired so i dont know how well i expressed it, good luck though
