Just to let you poeple know if you are thinking of transferring:
[From the SoM discussion page]
At this time of the year in particular we get hundreds of requests to transfer to the
Parramatta campus which is not available to students at other campuses unless there are
exceptional circumstances. The (non) transfer system is explained below. However if
students want to attend any other campus than Parramatta then this is generally
approved upon request.
When a student accepts an offer to a particular campus there are only the following that
can alter that campus:
1. You must have completed at least 4 units
2. An internal course transfer which will not be available in 2007( see policy below)
3.An application is lodged back through UAC after receiving a Grade Point Average of 5 (
i.e. most units will be passed at Credit or Distinction level) to transfer courses i.e. you
actually change your whole enrolment.
3. If it is the only campus at which the unit is offered you therefore have to attend that
campus
4. If evening classes are cancelled at another campus then student may receive an
invitation to attend elsewhere e.g. Parramatta campus
UWS Policy to be rescinded in 2007:
Section 3 - Policy Statement
Guaranteed Course Transfer
(3) The University will guarantee an internal course transfer for undergraduate students
provided that:
they have successfully completed 40 credit points in any UWS bachelor degree; and have
attained a grade point average (GPA) of greater than 5 (which equates to a better than
credit average).
(10) Students who wish to transfer to another course and do not meet the requirements
as laid down in clauses (3-4) must reapply through UAC.
Hope this helps you understand why this is just not possible- on a practical note that if
everyone who wanted to be at Parramatta actually was then you would not be able to
move!!

So transfer is no longer free, I wonder what other changes there will be in 2007?
