Yes I know there 100 threads on this topic already. But I was wondering what exactly happens in the year overseas. Where does the exchange student go/ live? Do they study at a designated uni in the new country and live at an exchange student house?

Or stay at a hotel? cause that would be pretty pricy $$$

No - you definitely don't stay in a hotel for the whole year...

You get designated to a specific university and you can either live on campus or off but you still have to pay rent like you would if you moved out of home anywhere.

And you study the language and culture subjects as indicated by UTS and then you send your assignments back to them.

Depending on where you choose to go the living costs are similar to here in Sydney. For example, in Germany rent is lower but eating out is more expensive.

Also - UTS pays for your flights.
