So I just got an iPhone and I wanted to know what the best apps to get are. Preferably education, game, productive apps but feel free to suggest any more.

I got an iPhone a few weeks back and I got... iBooks, Facebook, Viber (free calls to stuff), Dictionary.com, SoundHound (a fun novelty - you hum a song into your iPhone and it'll tell you what song it is! I even tried it with Satellite by Lena... and it identified it). I also got Solitaire (for the hell of it) and SBS The World Game and SBS World News Australia.

What I got was mostly by recommendation by others.

Absolutely fantastic application and highly recommended.
So that's what it was called... mitchy and I were trying to find it a few weeks back and we kept putting in 'Cityrail', '131500' and 'Timetable' on search and other things like that. LIFESAVER.

I'd recommend tiny tower with is a fun little game reminiscent of the old maxis sim series and another game called Osmos, which is a little more expensive than most apps but it is an incredibly addictive and fun game, with nifty graphics and music to boot.

Edit: oh and get oregon trail, its not as quite as good as the original classic game but its still a lot of fun. Oddly enough I've yet to have anyone die of dysentry, or any other cause for that matter o_O
