thinking of getting an HTC on 4g

I wouldn't buy a new device purely for 4G. It isn't worth it just for the 4G

It's your choice I guess, Probably should get it maybe since most new phones now are going to be 4g. I heard 4g eats through battery but I'm not 100% sure on that.

uhh my phone is "4g" with telstra. speed tests range from around 10000-40000, pretty good.

I wouldn't, I don't even use 3G. It uses so much battery and costs too much plus there is WiFi at home and at uni.
