IS doing an advanced maths degree in addition to an actuarial degree beneficial? (1 Viewer)

I was originally planning to do the maths degree as well, but was told it would dilute my subjects at uni. so should i do it?

Having more degrees is always good, and also Acturial studies requires alot of maths, so it may help you alot

yes it is in a sense but no in another.
doing a math degree with you actuarial degree is better,
however it is time consuming and it is better to just do "masters" degree in that time.

if you have no intention of doing maths, and just wnat to focus on actuarial it is probably better just to do actuarial and do the honours year on that instead, because if u do advanced maths ur honours year will have to be on maths...
