Strange because both modern and ancient history isnt capped as such, yet extension is capped.

Does anyone know why it is capped?
For History Extension, usually 50/50 is awarded to the top student. However, looking from here, it probably go capped because there was no outstanding student in particular, may be? But it still has high averaged scaled mark due to the generally high calibre of students.

Perhaps the group as a whole didn't do quite as well in the other subjects

LOL, I don't know. But give me 49.95 if you want :D

49.95/50 is basically 50/50, no?

exactly.
but i guess getting 50 does look better than 50, assuming 49.95 would go down to 50 if it's capped.
though perhaps my mathematics/logic is wrong, it usually is.
who cares, let's just do our best!
