basically i've been a lazy shit all year and havent really put much effort into any of my studies.. my school was ranked around 70s last year, but i dont think that this years cohort is as good as last year so prob around 100-150.. was wondering if getting an 85+ is possible? because i'm hoping to at least make economics at unsw

LOL..nice first post..im not the one to tell you whether u can or cant get it, but i gues there is still hope even if you do moderately well in the actual HSC. anyway, just curious, you dont do economics as a hsc subject, where'd the interest in uni eco come from?

lol my initial hope was to get into commerce at unsw, but then it's already 93 and i've heard that the cut offs might rise again this year.. my friends brother told me that if i cant get 93 then i should do economics as they both learn the same subjects in the first year and then transfer to commerce

I did the same trials as you for maths, english, chem and bio and comparing my results and the rankings vs. results of my class you're going to have to work HARD to get your goal. Of course it's possible, but you really need to stay focused and work hard. GOOD LUCK!

hahahaha hsc is in 3 days think it's a bit too late to start working hard now hopefully i can pull off some miracle LOL.

any other opinions on what i'll get? i worked out my assessment marks and they are:

maths2u - 67% 13/34
chem - 73% 10/18
bio - 82% 5/21
business - 72% 8/41
english - 76% 17/28

i've got a new backup.. computing/business at uts which is 84. haha so that's my new goal. do you reckon there is still hope for me? haha
