not SPECIFICALLY but a very good example to use in several dot points e.g law reform (changing values of the community--> increasing recognition of victims rights), as well as new forms of punishment (youth justice conferencing, to protect victims rights/reintegratiev shaming for the offender rather than imprisonment) yeah, it fits well
Yeah just piss on about the Victims Support and Rehabilitation Act (1996) and the Victims Rights Act (1996) for a bit. Rant a bit about Victims Impact Statements (VIS) and how they've been used in some random trial say... R. v. Popovic 2001!
When in the trial it's brought out (sentencing) and that the victim can choose to read it or get someone else to do so. Oh yeah, it's generally an aggravating factor
