ISBN + Textbooks (1 Viewer)

I want to buy second-hand textbooks but I was wondering whether it mattered if the ISBN was different from the ones on the textbooks sold at connect books. Would everything in the textbook still be the same?

If the ISBN is different, it could be a different edition of the same book. (older or sometimes new) You may have trouble following your tutor as the page numbers will most likely be different. (although you could always refer to your class mates book if needed) Talk to your unit coordinator and see what he/she says.
